REGISTER your nick = in your status window type /msg nickserv register password email Password is your created password and email is your email address. This is used in case you forget your password. We can then email it to you.
IDENTIFY yourself everytime you sign-on to irc. The command is /msg nickserv identify password This command may be placed in your PERFORM area of mirc's options. You should always identify yourself because you may not get your full privileges.
GROUP your different nicks (usually, alt-nick to your main nick). Grouping gives all the nicks in the group the same privilege. To use the command first switch to your alt-nick (/nick other_nick) then use the command /msg nickserv group main_nick password
NICK is your online name. Remember that if you don't use a nick for over 21 days, it will expire. You'll have to re-register it at that time. If you ever want to change it, you can use the command /nick new_nick If successful, your nick will change, otherwise, you used an illegal name.
RECOVER nickname [password] ~ Recovers your nick from another user or from services. If services are currently holding your nick, the hold will be released. If another user is holding your nick and is identified they will be killed (similar to the old GHOST command). If they are not identified they will be forced off of the nick.
CHANNEL LIST by using the command /list entered in your status window will pop up a listing of all the channels on the server. You can double click a channel, or type /JOIN channel_name <enter>.
ACROS are text short cuts used within the Realm script (Excursion). These may be intrusive especially when requesting files or answering trivia questions. To turn them off do the following:
Click on "Script Options" (at the top), then in the menu hover over "Script Settings", and click on "General Options".
In the "Excursion Settings" window, click the "Acros" tab.
Uncheck the "Enable Acro System" check box.
Click Apply and OK.
